Choosing an Intellifaucet.

The Intellifaucet K Series provides exceptional flexibility and precision, with temperature settings adjustable to 0.1°F within a range of 40°F to 140°F. Use the guide below to select the right model for your needs.

1. Determine the required flow rate.
2. Select the appropriate Intellifaucet model. Choose a model that supports your desired maximum flow rate and closely matches your average flow. Flow rates for 50 psi water pressure are listed in the data sheets for each Intellifaucet.
3. Choose the valve body material. Brass is suitable for most applications, while stainless steel is recommended for food processing plants or applications involving deionized water.
4. Consider the need for a Remote Interface. A Remote Interface is ideal for industrial automation applications and requires an external 4–20 mA current source.

Choosing a Control Valve.

Use our interactive Valve Sizing Calculator to determine the appropriate valve size for your needs. Select a material suitable for your application. Choose an EPV if a watertight electrical enclosure is not required, or an ECV if a NEMA 4X watertight enclosure is necessary.

Choosing a Batching System.

If you require control over both batch volume and temperature, consider the Intellifaucet Batch and Temperature Control System. For applications needing only a batching system with one inlet and one outlet, select a system that includes a controller, solenoid valve, and check valve. Note that we do not manufacture or sell batch-only systems.

To choose the appropriate Intellifaucet Batch System, follow these steps: 1. Determine the water volume needed per batch, and 2. calculate the time available for filling the container. Each Intellifaucet is rated in gallons per minute (GPM). Divide the total gallons required per batch by the time allowed to obtain the required flow rate. Then select an Intellifaucet capable of delivering that flow rate.

Example: If you need 85 pounds of water per batch and have 2 minutes for filling, first convert pounds to gallons by dividing 85 by 8.5 (pounds per gallon), which equals 10 gallons. Then, divide 10 gallons by 2 minutes to get a required flow rate of 5 GPM. Select the Intellifaucet BC375, rated for 12 GPM at a 50 psi pressure drop.

Payment Methods.
