The EPV-375SS Electronic Proportional Valve is a low-cost, computer-controlled proportional valve which directly accepts a 4-20 mA or 1-5V DC control signal. The EPV performs better, costs less to install and less to operate than competitive valves. It is ideal for accurate control of liquid and gas flow.
The EPV has no backlash and no hysteresis. This greatly simplifies control programs. The valve is opened and closed by a zero-backlash screw mechanism. A step motor is directly connected to the valve without gears. The valve can also be operated manually.
An adaptive digital noise filter eliminates dithering of the valve due to noisy control signals. This digital filter can be disabled via a switch on the circuit board.
The valve design features a long-life rotary stem seal. Rotary seals are more durable and require less maintenance than reciprocating stem seals used in pneumatic valves. This seal does not cause the unwanted stick-slip action of pneumatic valves.
The compact size of the EPV makes it easier to handle, and allows it to be installed in smaller spaces. The EPV is about one-third the size of a pneumatic valve.
An EPV installation costs less than a comparable pneumatic control valve system. There is no need for compressed air, filters, regulators, I-P converters, or pneumatic air lines. Simply connect the EPV to the control signal and the power supply.
The EPV is backed by a five (5) year warranty. The reliable, low-maintenance design and heavy-duty construction reduce costly downtime.
The EPV-375SS is made from Type 316 stainless steel. It has 1/2 inch pipe fittings with a 3/8 port size and a Cv of 1.7.
