Troubleshooting

Introduction

Most valve issues can be fixed by cleaning with a mild acid solution (vinegar). Uninstall the valve, plug all but one opening, place it in a sink or tray, and pour acid into the open port. Soak for a few hours, rinse well, and reinstall. If the problem continues, disassemble and clean each part separately.

New Intellifaucet boards

Introduced in 2017, Intellifaucet logic boards have complex features. Incorrect settings can cause issues. Press and hold the STOP button for 3 seconds to enter calibration mode or 5 seconds for personality mode. Accidental activation may lead to temperature or operational errors.

Calibration errors

If calibration settings are changed by mistake, the system may have temperature issues or lose temperature control. Default values for gain and offset are 0. Check the Intellifaucet Owner's Manual online for calibration instructions.

Keypad errors

If the keypad doesn't work, try disconnecting and reconnecting the 12-wire cable to clear corrosion. If that doesn't work, replace the keypad.

Personality

All models use one microcontroller, but each faucet size needs specific settings. Batch Intellifaucets differ from K and RK series. If a Batch unit is set to K-type settings, the flowmeter won't work, and the Batch Active LED will stay on.

To fix:
1. Hold the STOP button for 5 seconds. The display will show 1—16.
2. Press the correct keypad button once to set the personality. Check the documentation for the right values.
